Project Objective:

This project is to understand and experience the process of commercial web design, from pre-production to post-production. The progress of this project have to consider the technical skill in practice to produce functional and practical websites. The brand that I got is "GOODDAY MILK PRODUCT WEBSITE" and the task is to study their existing website and it's target audience to propose a new concept towards enhancing the interface of the website. And the following article is to show what is the initial planning of the enhancement,

Client's site Analysis (goodday.com.my)

Goodday is a industry that produce milk product, fruit drinks, yogurt and mineral water in malaysia, from the website we can see that the site consistent is still there, the layouts is stable enough, the color scheme is more around the blue tone. But the disadvantage of this website are lack of hierarchy, less information to understand, product arrangement is boring and there is not much interesting visual to let audience to visit this website.

4 Analysis of the competitor's site

Marigold is a industry in malaysia that sales most of the milk and drinks product. The website have clear enough of the navigation plan, Information is clearly shown in this website, eazy to read through. But Website colour is too bright and striking, the logo too small, lack of interactive, Structure of the website can be better in layout and composition.

Dutchlady is one of the famous milk product in Malaysia. The color scheme of the website is appropriate and milky to match the theme, interesting picture appear to tell the information, contain the information that education to kids and overall design is smooth. But the layout arrangement can be better, hierarchy not strong enough and the flow of the sitemap abit confusing.

Nestle website have a clear navigation plan, the big image to tell the categories of the current page is good, good layout arrangement. But the information arrangement is messy and not really systematic yet and The overall scheme is too simple.

OmegaFarms is a company that produce milk product with contain omega-3 nutrition and it is very healthy product as a daily drinks. The website scheme is really good enough that suite a theme of farms. the layout arrangement is clean and clear, the design graphic is interesting and nice to grab the visitor's attention and the navigation plan is clearly indicated. The only disadvantage of this website is the information is too seperated into alot of categories of pages and that is not necessary to do so.

How to Make Photo to Vector Illustration Effect...

Step 1: First select any image on which you want to apply illustration effect

Step2: Duplicate the Background layer.

Step3: Now apply the Cutout filter (Filter => Artistic => Cutout). On the left side the amount of detail in the vector can be controlled by adjusting the Number of Levels, Edge Simplicity and Edge Fidelity sliders. For this example I am using 5 levels, with the Edge Simplicity set to 3 and Edge Fidelity set to 3. Click OK.

Step4: You can trace the areas of color divided by the Cutout filter with the Poster Edges Filter. For this example the Edge Thickness is set to 2, Edge Intensity to 1 and Posterization to 4. Click OK.

Step5: The color can be changed subtly with a Photo Filter adjustment layer.

Step6: And finally, to add to the ‘colored’ effect, a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer will help take away the natural highlights/shadows even more.

Step7: Here is the final outcome image

FLOWCHART for the design...

Why do you want to use flowchart in your mobile interface design & screen interface design? how will it help your users to meet the interactive goals?

Before I answer this question, I'll explain what the heck is the flowchart, and the function of it... according the explainnation from wikipedia....LOL

Flowchart are maps or graphical representations of a process... Flowcharts are used in analyzing, designing, documenting or managing a process or program in various fields. Steps in a process are shown with symbolic shapes, and the flow of the process is indicated with arrows connecting the symbols. Computer programmers popularized flowcharts in the 1960's, using them to map the logic of programs. In quality improvement work, flowcharts are particularly useful for displaying how a process currently functions or could ideally function.

Which means this is a tool to communicate well to audience because they will understanding well in a very fast way and know a very clear messages from it instead of the explanation by words... and by programming a system and game, it will go very directly and clear with mapping the logic according from flowchart. Flowchart can tell what is the next or what to do next when meet specific situation. However, flowcharts is a very "straight" tool... it can ruin the whole things and do not work if they aren't accurate...

-So, Why I want to use flowchart for my works? The answer is simple and clear, because it is the better and effective way to plan the whole process for my design and to make my whole program smooth and eazy to follow the interactive of my work. When take a refer on the flowchart, the whole development is eazy to know and understand and know how it going until the very final work.

-And it is always the better way to help the users meet the interactive goals.... if the planning is accurate and follow step by step to the outcome, it is really clear enough to let the user know the overall process. With that users understand the information from it, how the things work, what will be the decision from a specific issue and what is the final result of the work. And it can really help us to make refine and overcome any problem from it, and due to the reasons above, it can help users to meet the interactive goals...

The recent assignment of our ddmm class is a pair of icons. Well, honestly... I was rushing this assignment in last minute, because of my bad habits...laziness and bad time arrangement, I 've done within 1 day, and the result for me is... not exactly what I want , but it still can acceptable and I do appreciate my works. I know my technique and skill for doing these are really poor compared to my classmates, at least my icons look fine, this is why I really appreciate, of course I want more, and I believe I can be better and better for doing these soon... I will IMPROVE~~~

Well, in order to improve my works, I need FEEDBACK from you guyz... In facts, The icons submittion is not the end of our assignment, our lecturer ask us to make a survey by posting on our blog, we are required to do that for evaluate our icons and I believe the comments and ideas from others will help us alot.

Learned to create Icon and Alarm clock in class DDMM

ICON~~~~~~~~~

The forth class of DDMM, our lecturer Sook Chiung and Joanne taught us how to make Icons in software Adobe Illustrator. It was fun to learning the way to make the shapes and color gradient, and to create the shape that you want, we have to rely on the tool, Pathfinder. Transparency tool also useful to create an overlay effect as photoshop. The moment that impressed me during the class was, when we follow the step-by-step from the demostration by sook chiung. It was so FAST, she really familiar all the tools and settings in Illustrator and she can easily and fast to make the shapes that she want, SKILLFUL~~~ Anyway, thanks god that I abled to caught the points of what she taught and understand the instruction during the class. ( In fact, we have the pdf. file that can guide us how to do, beside the demotration from lecturer...)

Before end of the class, we have a assignment, that's ALARM CLOCK, I've done for that, and uploaded here,

A body found on a mountain in Japan was confirmed as popular cartoonist Yoshito Usui, whose manga and animation series "Crayon Shin-chan" has attracted a worldwide fan base, a report said.

Usui, 51, had been missing for more than a week when a body covered in bruises was found on Saturday by a climber in a mountain range straddling Gunma and Nagano prefectures, Kyodo News agency reported.

The report said his family Sunday confirmed it was the cartoonist and quoted police as saying he may have fallen from a climbing path.

It added there was no sign of a suicide note.

Usui had been missing since September 11 after telling his family at his home in Saitama prefecture, near Tokyo, that he would be hiking on the mountain and would be back by the evening.

When he failed to return his family contacted police.

Usui made his debut as a manga author in 1987 and gained popularity in the 1990s with "Crayon Shin-chan" featuring the daily life of Shinnosuke, a mischievous five-year-old boy.

well... this is the first post for my blog of my life....and it is not for me, is for my Multimedia course....( Our Lecturer ask us to do so....)...hahaha, sound weird, that I blogging is because this is part of my course work....

10 things about myself...., Sometimes it is hard to introduce yourself because you know yourself so well that you do not know where to start with. So, I use as simple and short words to describe myself....

1. I'm male... yup, a boy... according Wikipedia, it explained: refers to the sex of an organism, or part of an organism, which produces small mobile gametes, called spermatozoa. Each spermatozoon can fuse with a larger female gamete or ovum, in the process of fertilization. A male cannot reproduce sexually without access to at least one ovum from a female, but some organisms can reproduce both sexually and asexually. And this is the symbol: ♂ (=_=''')

2. Current weight: 58kg.... Height: 175cm, quite skinny la... I know, that's why trying so hard to gain weight and workout.....haihz~~~~ anyway...my height, if can grow until 180cm then better la....hahahahahah XD

3. CHINESE 华人！！ YEAH~~~ I'm hua ren!!! I know Hua Yu, I know Cheng Yu, Yen Yu and those bombastic punya Ming Ju Jing Hua........ I proud to be Chinese!!!! but, some of my kawan though I am Europsian(mixblood), Coz my nose veri tall....(-_-''')... hidung tinggi~~~
